Images of Comets taken from Land of Oz Observatory
Comet 17p Holmes: The above image is an integration of ten 35 second exposures
taken through the 80mm aperture APO refractor at f/3.75, using the Orion StarShoot
1-shot color CCD camera.  These images were taken between 7:20 and 7:27 PM on
the evening of 11/6/2007. Images captured and combined in Maxim DL Essentials,
with further processing in Photoshop CS.
Comet 17p Holmes: The above image, captured on the evening of October 27th,
2007, is an integration of 20 35 second exposures through the 80mm APO refractor at
f/3.75, using the Orion StarShoot 1 shot color CCD camera. Captured in Maxim DL
Essentials and post-processed using Photoshop CS.
Comet Lulin (2007 N3): The above image is an animation of three 60 sec. exposures
taken through the 80mm (3.1") APO Refractor on the evening of March 16th, 2009.
The first image was captured at 10:00PM, the second at 10:55PM, and the last at
11:55PM.  The movement of Comet Lulin against the background stars  was quite
noticeable each time I went back to observe it during the night. The bright star at the
lower right corner of the image is Delta Geminorum.
